New Outdoor Fitness Centre for Gwandalan Public School

A new outdoor fitness centre has opened at Gwandalan Public School as a result of funding provided by the NSW Government.

As part of the 2023 Community Building Partnership, the NSW Government provided $36,756 to the Gwandalan Public School P&C to construct the outdoor fitness centre for students in years three to six.

The new equipment will help students to stay fit and healthy, along with building stronger social relationships.

The Community Building Partnership program has funded more than 22,400 community projects since it commenced in 2009.

Local not-for-profit community organisations and councils were eligible to apply for grants ranging from $10,000 to $100,000, with up to $450,000 allocated per electorate.

“I am thrilled to see this project completed with funding from the NSW Government.

I know students will love the new outdoor fitness centre and it will create memories for students for years to come.

The Gwandalan Public School P&C have done a great job advocating for the School and I was proud to deliver this funding.”
