Swansea E-News

Welcome back to my fortnightly newsletter.

In local news, Jo Haylen, the Minister for Transport will be in Newcastle next Friday to host the first Passenger Forum as part of the Government's Bus Industry Taskforce. We want to hear your feedback on how to improve buses in the area.

On the weekend I represented the Minister for Planning and Public Spaces in opening the Karakai Park at Murrays Beach. It’s a fabulous new space for local families.

In state news, I joined Trish Doyle, the Member for the Blue Mountains, in visiting the Blue Mountains Police Area Command and the Police Rescue Squad. They face some seriously tough conditions and call-outs, it was a privilege to meet them.

And here’s something for first homebuyers – the Government has launched a new online tool to help you access assistance.

The Community Notice Board contains information on the Community War Memorials Fund, flu vaccination bookings, the Belmont Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary, Belmont & District Residents' Action Group, savings for pensioners, Swansea Community Cottage, Swansea Mobile Shower and Orange Sky Laundry.
