Wesley Aged Care Volunteer Visits
Have you ever had a conversation with someone who has lived for almost a century? Would you like to hear about the rich history of the Hunter Valley from someone who has lived it?
Wesley Aged Care Volunteer Visitors is a service that connects volunteers with older Australians who may be experiencing loneliness and isolation.
It can take as little as one hour a fortnight to drop in and say hello. Maybe you will have a cuppa and a chat, but it can make all the difference to someone who doesn’t have that in their life.
Our volunteers often say they get as much out of volunteering as they put in and they love sharing stories with the older person they visit.
What would it take for you to build a new friendship?
We will find someone in your area, with similar interests and introduce you. You will have ongoing support from our team and we host annual celebration events to say thank you for all the good that you are doing.
Let us connect you with an older person in your community who is feeling lonely.
